Own Redhawk 44, 10/22 carbine and this one i found in dad's attic yesterday

Joined to see what it was because the odd stock

A 10/22 with a sporter stock . The stock doesn't appear to be the Ruger factory sporter but one of the after market sporter stocks available back then . I used semi-inletted stocks for projects like this that were sold by Herter's , Bishop's and Fajen were the most common .
That stock might be a Fajen walnut sporter but that's simply a guess based on the one photo .
Yes , it might be the factory sporter stock but my old eyes are having trouble seeing the photo .

Welcome from Florida! The stock looks be the Finger Groove stock. I believe they were only available in the '60s. If that is the factory stock for that rifle, it will bring a premium with it as it is very collectable!
