I am thinking of changing out the sights on my P90 and 345. I know I like the Hi-viz brand, but am debating to change just the front sight or both front and rear. The rear sight is adjustable which I like. What do you guys have on your Rugers and do you think the adjustable sight is worth the extra $50?

Target shooting-yes------defense shooting means rapid sight picture and pop pop pop---I'm partial to the XS idea-a large V rear and large Ball bead (regular or Nite) on the front-fast in bad light and for old bifocular type eyes---and you're closer than you think to sunset eyes-if you get a chance try em-bet you like em.

Thanks guys. It's just as reliable as it is pretty. I have shot everything out of it without any trouble of any kind, but now I almost exclusively shoot my reloads. Right now I'm reloading 230gr golden sabre hollowpoints. It loves them.

Ghostrider, the only problem I've had with my sight is the smallest blades broke. I got 2ea. of 3 different sizes, and I now have the middle size in and it seems to be lasting. I think I broke the blades putting it in and out of a IWB holster. They are sure good in low light or if your eyes aren't real good.

I've never had the HiViz sights on a carry pistol, but I do have them on a couple of target pistols and like them very much for that purpose. TruGlo is making a TFO night sight set that combines tritium and fiber optics. Unfortunately, they are not producing them for Rugers yet. I'd love a set for the P95.

I would suggest meprolights. I have them on P345 and they are extremally bright. I have HiViz on my P97 and they don't even compare in brightness. They come in front and rear sets from cheaper than dirt for around $85 bucks.
