Am getting 10/22 Target. Have decided on Hogue fiber systhetic stock. Primary concern is lack of cheek rest. Have found no good way to provide one.

Am interested in any ideas or experience others have regarding this. The best alternative I can come up with is the Kydex cheek rest.

Interested in any/all input.

Thanks in advance,
Wizzard

Amazon, type in Ruger 10 22 cheek rest, there is a "tactical black cheek rest" that is "universal." This is the one I am considering for myself. Honestly I have yet to try it, but if I get one this will probably be it. I like the velcro design and no drilling, etc. It's an option.

I have improvised cheek rests over the years with duct tape and fabric. It works but looks stupid. What about one of the slip on cartridge holders does one of them fit the 10-22.

I'd probably go with something like the aforementioned deal from Amazon. Or something with Velcro and elastic. I wouldn't want to permanently alter a stock in case you want to remove it for any reason. It's easy enough to swap the stock on a 10/22 that you could always get one with an adjustable cheek rest and keep your Hogue for when you want something much smaller and lighter weight.

Personally, though, I'd get a removable cheek rest that attaches with Velcro and a wide elastic band. Then you can position it how you want it.

If your scope is too high, you could always get lower rings assuming you have the room and your front objective won't hit the barrel.

Those look nice... :D

Personally I recommend fabbing your own to fit perfect and then decide what to buy or make for long term use...

This is what I came up with for myself with an ultra-low mounted scope on a similar style stock to yours...

I use the Ryan Cleckner method...

I am going to extremes on my other stock for the same gun in the pic above...not saying it is what others should do...
