Merry Christmas all,

Santa left me a TipTop series vii 6"-9" bipod. She's the swivel mount, looks like it should work great.

Problem, I want to mount to my 10/22 sporter which is equipped with a sling swivel. The sling swivel has the ring for the sling, that does not appear to be removable. Don't really want to cut it out.

What have you guys done?

I am thinking removing the swivel with ring. Purchasing a swivel without the ring and installing that in the stock.

Thanks 馃榾馃憤馃徎

The OEM swivel on a stud will screw out. You want to purchase a swivel stud, not a swivel. It will screw in the same way. You might want to put a bit of epoxy on the threads to make it permanent.

If you later want to use a sling instead of the bipod, get a quick-release sling swivel and put it on your sling.

Agree with GreenHat. Amazon or most shooting/hunting-related stores will carry them - often times as a kit for front and back with the QD swivels. Five-minute job at most, and reversible should you later change your mind.
