I decided to take advantage of a deal and got a new P95DC and I would like to install night sights on it.

the Meprolight ones are only $90 and I was wondering how hard they are to install.

Anyone do it?

I will say this, and I've mentioned it on many forums..

I have seen story after story of people who screwed up their gun, trying to install their own night sights. Scratched finishes or worst.

Quite often, you have to do some filing in the bottom of the isght itself. And, I've seen tons of pics of slide screwups.

It's like $20 or so in my area to pay a smith to install the sights. Well worth it.

Hmm....

Well, I know my local smith will do it for like $35, so I might go that route.

It depends on the fit/finish on the replacement sight.

Millett sights for my GP100 were a 30 second swapout. (a pox on the house of Ruger for not including Millett sights on the front by default)

I will find out when I get them this week.

Also, before you get started, make sure the front sight is drilled to accept the 2 pins. Mine was not and thats not a big deal for me as I do have a drill press and a workshop. But if you don't have those capabilities and the holes are not pre-drilled, you may not even want to attempt this task.
