Hi, I have a Ruger Hawkeye chambered in 35 Whelen that I'd like to put sights on. I've done some research on this but thought I'd ask here to see if any of you have done this. Any thoughts? Any suggestions? I wish Ruger offered sights on the Standard Hawkeye like they did on the M77 years ago. I think this rifle would be a great heavy cover/short range hunting rifle with open sights on it. Thanks

necg makes a peep that mounts on the rear scope ring mount. you can also get a front sight base that would have to be either screwed or silver soldered on. i think necg makes the front base as well. check midway and brownells.
