I stumbled upon some info that this has happened on some lc9's. Anyone ever come up with why? All I can think of is that the plunger tip was installed the wrong way in the extractor notch. The shelf on the plunger may have been turned the wrong way. Facing inward instead of out. A couple of techs may have had a bad monday.LOL.

Had that exact problem. Sent it in and they replaced the extractor and other parts that blew out at the same time--spring, pin, extractor.
5 rounds later I had the same problem. Sent it in again and this time they replaced the whole slide assembly. No more problems.

I bought 2 of these at the same time. No problem with the other one.

But did they mention a cause? Slide machined improper, plunger installation etc etc. Just curios and something to watch for. Mines been ok.
