I saw my gunsmith today, the first thing is to break the gun with about 200 or 300 rounds as someone said above. Then if you're still experiencing glitches, polish up the ramp, breech it, and maybe file down a bit of that inside curve that may be biting into the gun. But it probably gets much better at shooting and spending. I will try and update

I have the same problems with hornady XTP and federal fmj. Actualization, today in the morning the slides lost color again.
To anyone who buys this little 380. Don't send it back to the factory for repair, it will come back the same, even if they change the slider. take a trusted gunsmith and solve the problem yourself I think it would be better
I had similar issues with my LCP 2. I stoned the sharp edges on the barrel polished the feed ramp, and replaced the firing pin and the slide springs. Hasn’t had a stoppage since.
When I first got it shooting it was brutal, with the new springs it’s a sweet little shooter now.

I've never had any problems with mine during live fire. It's the administative handling where the problem lies. When I drop the magazine and attempt to eject the chambered round ... it will not eject for whatever reason. The extractor claw grabs the cartridge with no problem but the slide just will not go back far enough to eject it properly.

After looking at my pistol again and recalling what I experienced when the round with the damaged case loaded...I could not pull the slide back far enough to eject to the damaged cartridge. I didn't want to mess with it at the public range so I waited until I returned home to deal with it. Even at my workbench I was still having trouble getting the slide back all the way. I used the edge of my workbench and pushed on the step of the rear sight and was able to finally eject the round. That plus something someone said in these discussions put a light on another possibility.

It now just occurred to me that the problem may not ibe n the slide at all. I believe the problem could be in the ejector tab
..as in applying to much pressure against the side of the casing during ejection. Something you wouldn't notice during live fire as the explosive force of the recoil cycling the slide back. Just a theory at this point. I don't want to test it with live ammo so I need to pick up some .380 dummy rounds to prove it out.

We just picked up another +6" of snow so it'll be a couple of days before I can get into town to get them. I'll keep everyone posted on my findings.

I think ruger should hire us. In this forum we may find an answer to your problems Hahaha. This afternoon after nearly losing my fingers cycling this bad boy. I polished the feed ramp and the chamber since on occasions it does not feed the hollow point well either and you have to hit the slide. I also polished that notch in front of the extractor nail. I greased the spring, the spring guide, polished the barrel above and on the side that wears the most when sliding, lubricated more than I normally would and noticed a surprising improvement. I think that by breaking this with a considerable amount these problems will go away. The price of ammunition in Miami is a bit scary, that ammunition will break this gun and my pockets, but I will find a solution for this.

SUCCESS!!
I went to town today and picked up a 5 pack of expensive ($18) A-ZOOM snap caps. I unloaded the magazine and loaded snap caps into it. I proceeded to slingshot a round into the chamber. I then dropped the magazine and attempted to manually eject the round.. it would not eject as the slide did not go all the way back. I was able to force the slide by pushing on the front of the rear sight against my bench. I noticed scratches on the rear of the dummy round where it appeared to be hitting the nose of the ejector.

I then removed the slide and took a 6" Crescent wrench and clamped it onto the ejector and bent it ever so slightly to the left of the frame. I did it in small incriments several times as I didn't want to bend it to far.

The firearm now manually ejects rounds reliably by hand.

No failures..still have to rack it rather sharply ..I'm sure that will disappear with use .. it's an easy fix actually. Let us know how it works out.

problem fixed!!!! In the image it leaves the marks that it had previously left on the bullets. Then I doubled the ejector a bit and the problem improved remarkably, you can also see a little wear on the tip from trying to run rounds without success. I imagine that with time it will improve even more.

¿No ha tenido un solo fallo desde entonces?

¿Escribaste con un traducir automático por estos dos mensages? :p

I didn't use one, and my Spanish sucks, so that's why it looks like a kindergartner wrote my question.🤣
