My first suspect would be the Remington Golden Bullets. They have been a source of grief for many shooters.

Next try at the range try keeping each brand separate. Dumping four brands into a bucket makes it impossible to narrow down ammo issues.

Thunder Bolts are not good bullets either and I always have feeding issues with them.

I've always been happy with Federal's bulk LR, the plated Champion and (slightly better) American Eagle. The other brands, no thanks.

Couldnt resist. I raced back to the range to test thunderbolts. 300 or more rounds between lcpii, lcr amd p17.
3 failure to fire. Thats .01 perecent.

The the extraction issue is with oem 10 round mag as well. I had read something about it before. Other wise the lcpii extracts just fine. Its when i manually cycle a dud round in chamber.

The faliure to fire just an ammo issue. .01 percent is more than acceptable for plinking fun.

The other ammo i was getting at least one or more failure per mag.

More thunderbolt in my future for all plinking. Yep its a bit dirty but from what i am seeing its more reliable than other bulk junk.

The thunderbolts have always been the best in the kel tec p17.
