Dear Santa Claus,

I have been told that you are planning a celebration of my birthday on December 25, 2006. I'm very sad that I have not received an invitation to this party. Perhaps it was an oversight? I know that this is a busy time of year, but I would like very much to be a part of this celebration. I understand that it is customary to give gifts at Christmas. This is a an admirable practice. There are many, many people in this world that are homeless, cold, lonely, hungry and poor. May I assume that these unfortunate people will be the recipients of these gifts?

Aside from material things that provide comfort, warmth and sustain life, I have made a list of other gifts that I feel would be appropriate:

1. Forgiveness
2. Love
3. Understanding
4. Compassion
5. Respect
6. Peace
7. Prayer

If I do receive a belated invitation, the gift I would cherish most is your unwavering love for our Father.
