Just picked up a Ruger SR-22 for use in the CMP RFS "tactical" class next year and have started swapping in aftermarket parts. The gun weighs 7.5 lbs with my scope and rings and I would like to lighten it up some to be able to add a few more items (stock and maybe heavier barrel). I know some folks here are shooting without the top scope rail which looks like around .75lbs but the float tube or hand guard assemble weighs a whopping 1 lb. Has anyone here found a lighter float tube that works for you ?

Here are a few stocks that I would like to get on the gun if I can lighten it up a tad. The Eliseo weighs 1.5 lbs and the Medesha looks lighter still without the cheek piece assembly.

Anyway - as always your help with the float tube would be appreciated.
