I took the scope off of my 10/22 TD so I could go back to open sites for awhile.
The scope rail had to come off too because the open sites are very low profile.

I had used Loctite medium (blue) on the rail mount screws, and some bled onto the top of the receiver around the tapped holes. So I have irregular blotch stains around every hole.

Anything I can do to get those stains off, or will I just have a ugly gun when ever the scope is off ?

I think acetone is a good solvent for Loctite - however, I'd check it on an inconspicuous area of the receiver first to ensure it won't affect the finish in any way.

If the receiver is painted, acetone will eat the paint. I'd call Loctite customer service and ask them for a recommendation.
