Looking for Holster for Old Model Vaquero

Order one for the Super Blackhawk. That is the frame size of the original Vaquero.

I appreciate that clarification but I can't seem to currently find a Super Blackhawk .44 mag with 5.5" barrel in any leather paddle anywhere on the internet.

I just searched EPS and they do not currently offer a leather OWB paddle holster for either the old model vaquero or the new super blackhawk in .44 mag with 5.5" barrel.

If you go to the suppliers page on Amazon for the holster you listed, you should be able to find one. You should be able to use any holster for a single action large frame weather it’s for a Ruger, Colt, or a reproduction.

If you go to that same company's (MASC) web site they offer this for 5 1/2" .

Simply Rugged Holsters.

Side note, no such thing as Old Model Vaqueros. The Vaqueros are all New Models. There is the New Model original Vaquero and the New Vaquero. Old Model means pre-1973 three screw Rugers.

That looks like a nice holster you got but the difficulty I'm having is finding a leather paddle holster, like the one in the amazon listing I included with my question. I just searched Simply Rugged's website and didn't see any paddle holsters listed.

I just looked at the available options listed there and the option for Blackhawk 44 is included with Colt 45. I find that a bit confusing because the research I've done states that the original Vaquero frame size was larger than the SAA Colt 45. Also, that option doesn't clearly specify whether the Blackhawk 44 is a magnum or special. I understand that both 44 cartridges are the same size but it was my understanding that only the 44 magnums are built using the larger frame to be able to handle the power of the more potent round. Or did I get the wrong information?

My understanding of what they wrote .
The reference to 45 Colt is referring to the cartridge. That and the 44mag being chambered in the large frame Blackhawk.
It is not the Colt handgun.
