Thanks Iowegan for the ebook. I have already done the easy mods, ejector and mainspring.

But now that you have made me an amateur gunsmith. I have noticed that my bolt is loose in the fore and aft position with the hammer cocked. It has about .010 play with or without a cartridge loaded. Is this normal or should the bolt be tight up against the barrel? The gun is a 1981 era MK1.

I will have to try a new spring assy. The recoil spring is at full extension. The clearance is between the U shaped end of the recoil spring assy. and the stop bolt. I have had numerous click no bangs and I surmise this is the problem.

Recoil spring solved the problem. The bolt is now tight against the barrel. The new firing pin should improve things also it has a much smaller square point to strike the rim of the cartridge. Thanks again Iowegan.
