I’ll share a favorite load,

140gr ELD Match
Hornady brass
41.3gr H4350
WLR primer
CBTO 2.200”

Shoots sub MOA (under .5) in my RPR, maybe not so good in your rifle. It’s a place to start though.

Skyhunter8, my CTBO is 2.200”.......I think that’s .030 OTL for my rifle. My load has changed though, 40.4gr of H4350, (very mild) it’s runs about 2590 at muzzle but it consistently groups under .25 if I do my part.

I do not reloadthat cartridge but look at the water capcity and see what other cartridges with similar capacity use.

bwinters, water capacity of a cartridge has absolutely zero to do with the ogive number. The ogive has to do with bullet design, (secant or tangent ogive). On top of that ogive numbers won’t be found in any bullet makers reloading manual, they publish COAL.

Seating a bullet based water capacity of a similar cartridge......how did you arrive at that idea??

Sorry Skywalker308, I miss read your question, Rectlelife is right, it’s a better way way to get a more accurate reading of how close your bullet is to making contact with the lands.

It does take a few extra “tools” to get the ogive number though.
