I hesitated to start this thread because past questions have received such sarcastic and deeming responses. However, my hands simply don’t work well anymore. After 11 operations on my hands and with arthritis, it is difficult for me to pick up a 22lr cartridge.

Does anyone have a suggestion on a mag loader for the standard Ruger 10 round magazine?

Maglula's 10/22 loader is what you need. Takes all the pain and effort out of loading, or unloading, 10/22 magazines.

It’s a valid question and you are far from the only one with such a problem.

Welcome aboard from Connecticut!

i'm in the same boat as you (i can no longer make bamboo fly rods due to arthritic hands), and i heartily endorse the Maglula loader/unloader combo (only used the unloader once, but it works well)...

have used the loader many times over this past year... it is fast, convenient, and saves effort if you're loading 100 rounds or more...

btw, interesting read on the designer:

order and buy with confidence - it's a good product IMHO...

Thanks for the info. Has anyone tried the Champion or Butler Creek loaders?
I considered both of these but the negative reviews were really discouraging and I never bought one.

The Maglula is the real deal and really works as promised. Spend the extra and get something that actually works. Mine is priceless.

Like many, I thought the mag lula for the 10-22 was a waste of time and money, just like I thought about the Uplula for my pistol magazines. That is, until I used one, and then immediately bought the Uplula( just bought a spare in case I leave the first one at home in a different range bag. I recently bought a 10-22, and now have 2-25 rd BX 25 mags and 9-10rd mags. While I do not have dexterity problems(yet) I heartily recommend the mag loader for the 10-22 also. I will not go to the range without it! In actual use, it is easily worth the price. Get it- you will not regret it! If you do, text me and I will buy it as a spare!

A humble suggestion for Ruger Mark magazines
Yes, there are numerous effective and inexpensive loaders for the Mark-series magazines. However, this discussion is about the 10/22 magazines for which there is only one useful loader and that's the Maglula.
