I know it's not a Ruger, a No No :(, and I have mentioned this before. I see some saying people they are waiting on money to buy another rifle of a different caliber.

My Savage 110 barrel swap works very well for me. One action, scope and stock and right now three barrels in different calibers. I can add more later if I wish. Right now all my calibers have the .473" (30-06, 243 Win, 270 Win, 308 Win, 257 Robt) case head diameter. I have barrels for 30-06, 25-06 and 22/250 Savage, head space gages and barrel wrenches. The swap takes about 20 minutes. New or new take off barrels can be had thru Gunbroker, Midway or Ebay for as little as $50. My new Midway 25-06 was on sale at $75 (top barrel).

going to a magnum would require a new bolt face and magazine as well as a barrel but still cheaper than a new rifle.

Type "rifle barrel swap" in Google and you will find directions.

I'm impressed. My previous barrel swaps consisted with the T/C and the NEF.
Have you considered an extended eye relief scope mounted to the barrel so you do not have to keep re-zeroing?
