Hopefully, my intro gets off to a good start...because, unfortunately, I ran across the link while searching "defective LCR" 馃槸
I'm a long term Ruger fan, so I'm not too worried about it. I'm more suprised than anything, because I've owned several Ruger Revolvers and they are dependable Beasts.
I decided to buy myself a Christmas present, either a S&W 642 or the LCR - both were on sale. I brought the LCR home. I noticed last night that the cylinder wouldnt close, and that the ejector star was misaligned. I google d "Ruger LCR issues" and learned from posts here that it's been an issue for years. That ticks me off a bit. So now I'm trying to decide whether to just return it to the store (and buy that Smith), or send it in to Ruger for repair. Seeing that this problem has been around for a few years, I'm less, than confident in the second option.
