Went in when I turned 17 - came back from SE Asia as an E4 - was 20 yrs old - they made me a loading crew chief with 4 guys under me - the youngest one was 23 - duh awkward

Saw plenty of sea time on that flat bottomed bath tub of a ship that rode the waves like a cork floating on rough water.
