I have finally got to the range with my new mini 14 Blue with synthetic stock.
There is a night and day difference between my 1990 mini and this one.
At 50 yards with the exact same ammo the new one using a 1x shotgun scope ( I can no longer use iron sights) kept all rounds in 2" orange target dot. My son with an old Bushnell 4x12 kept a 1" group on his new mini ( we purchased both at the same time) I will be looking for a new scope for my rifle. I did a lot of reading of reviews and watching new videos on mini 14s and have come to the conclusion that the new mini 14s are well made, reliable and more accurate out of the box than ever before. The trigger on my rifle has no discernible creep and feels lighter and crisper than the old model, it still spits spent rounds into the next county however. HA HA . :) Disassembly and cleaning remain as easy as ever. Very happy:):)
