I'm looking for a device that helps you hold down the button on the side of the MK3 magazine while loading. My friend has one for his Ruger MK 2 but it won't work with the Ruger MK 3 magazines. Has anyone seen one or know of a source?

Thanks,
Bob

I don't want to rain on your parade, but there is a reason Ruger never supplied a mag loader for the .22 autos. The way it is, you can only hold it down for a short time before it becomes uncomfortable, so the average shooter just holds it down far enough to insert one or two rounds at a time. If it is held all the way down while you drop rounds in and the button slips from your finger/loader, the spring can slam the cartridge into the feed lips. As the .22 is a rimfire, it can cause an unexpected discharge.

Thanks for the warning Coffee Pot. I'll just push it down as I put the shells in so it can't go far if it slips off. Would be same as thumb slipping off that way.
