I saw one at the lgs 16" threaded barrel polymer stock really nice feel to the stock very handy size for paper punching. Im gona buy it or a 1022 I know the 1022s of late run very good I had one. But I know nothing of the 597. If you know, let me know lol.

A friend has one. I like the stock, it's shaped like a Hogue overmold for a 10/22. And it has a bolt hold-open on the last round. The magazines are or were pretty crappy, his jammed all the time. I've heard they addressed that with newer mags. They seem accurate for what they are, and they are inexpensive.
