Hello. I just got back from my first Fast Draw shoot ever. I had a great time with great people. I shot today with the Bar T Gunfighters in San Diego. Although I had to use a club gun and rig, I still had a blast. Can't wait to get my gun this week and start making my rig. Just wanted to share a great shooting experience with everyone. Anyone here a member of CFDA?

That's great Country I'll bet it will be even better when you get rigged with your own gear. ;)

That 10 day waiting period isn't up yet?

I'm not a member of the CFDA but along time ago, (1969-74'), in a galaxy far far away, (So. Calif), I was a member of a western stunt show and fast draw exhibition group. It was called Los Hermanos Cincos, spanish for the "The Brothers Five", as the group was created by five brothers but we had about 12 full time members...none of them were Spanish.

Long story short we would travel around and out on western shows, bank robberies, shoot outs, jail breaks, gunfights, etc. at old ghost towns, fairs and amusement parks throughout the southwest region.

During this time I got very interested in fast draw more so then doing the stuntwork. I used a Dakota S/A .45, 5 1/2" barrel with a plain Bianchi belt / holster rig, (still have it all today). Wound up to be the fastest gun in the group plus a few others we competed with!

So I do share your excitement on your first outing and I hope you have a zillion more days like today. It's alot of fun and you'll meet some great folks too. Good luck!
Now that sounds like a great time. Still in the waiting period. This Thursday at 1 pm I'll be picking her up.
