So my Nomad is honestly kind of naked, I'm going to be modding and building it up like crazy though.

This is what I originally had.

Here is what I ordered.
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/312...-polymer-black -25 Round Magazine

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/373...5-lr-308-matte Replacement A2 Post for my Front Sight

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/552...el-1-1-4-steel Push Button Sling Swivel

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/239...ter-olive-drab Tactical Rifle Case

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/557...-polymer-black Magpul AFG2

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/593...le-mount-matte Bushnell TRS-25

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/819...-package-of-50 Some Sticky Targets

$180 Shipped from Mid Way

From Amazon I ordered the Side Rails, a new 1022 Rail Mount (Because my front rail has some scratches on my Nomad that I fixed on the top of the hand guard.)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o00_s00_i00 Also ordered this scope. It seems great for the price, and I might be able to co-witness it with the bushnell red dot/irons for the hell of it. (A magnifier runs the same price anyways, why not have something that is dual purpose...)

http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/we-g39-id...eries-gbb.html A stock and low profile rail kit. Im gonna use the stock but I'm not sure about the rail. I don't think I'd use it to be honest the sights dont look adjustable... $55 shipped, if you just join as a customer you get a $20 credit or so which covers shipping.
Amazon Ran me $76 or so. I'm buying extra iron sights from an airsofter as well for $15.

I'll probably have my stock all accessorized before I get my Rifle back from Ruger. (By the way for stripped receiver holes they are replacing the whole rifle free of charge, pretty nice huh?)

- The Flash Hider, Promag sent me a new Flashhider and I decided to touch it up some. The original finish was pretty terrible, and I drilled a hole all the way through so I don't have to hack saw it to take it off again :p

Drilled a hole all the way through my flash hider to make the the pin removable. Spray painted it flat black with Kryon black Camo, 2 coats. Hopefully it holds fine, if I let it cure for 2 weeks maybe it won't flake off. The finish on the flash hider was really bad normally. Pics soon I guess >:

I'll see how this works before I buy that grill and BBQ paint.

Now for the hole I drilled.

It should be tight enough so the pin doesn't just fall out, I stayed with the same size as the original.

The Iron Sights will look like this though, I'm using a front magpul site.

Work on The Fore-Arm/Do it yourself RIS system.... I started by redrilling the screw holes and using these.
http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=795/sku=080-719-112/Product/1-Dz-Fillister-146-48-Screws The screws tapped the holes though I somehow drilled one too big. It screws in fine with the rail though, if I get washers/nuts it won't be an issue at all.

I need to find some nuts for extra security but everything is tight and secure. I just want extra security because its held on through plastic threads.

Its pretty straight, also the paint did wonders for it. I regret ordering a new rail but it was only $7

I also repainted my G36 Optic Rail since that was scratched/had cheap finish. I doubt I'll be using it come next week when my TRS-25, and Scope come.

This will be my last update until parts come.

Gonna pay ace hardware a visit tomorrow for nuts/washers.

Getting the WE stock might be a project in itself, hopefully it goes without any issues.

The only thing that puts me off is the height of the sights over the barrel. Other wise, it looks spiffy!

Yeah to make up for the rail height you have to use compact optics like the TRS-25. I also think the scope I picked up would work well because some people with ARs actually needed risers for it. Everything but the stock should come Tuesday or so.

I can't wait to see the new pics. Hows the built in sight/handle on accuracy? I wouldn't suggest mounting your front sight on the front stock. That whole front assembly can move side to side a few mm. Not much but enough to throw off your accuracy if it's not straight. I just put 500 rds through mine today with my parents and they loved it. It was my mom's first time shooting in 50+ years and she had the best groupings at 90', and she was far more accurate than my dad at 150 ft. We were calling her Nanny Oakley. I ordered a UTG see through riser rail, so I can still use the stock iron sights for close range, and I'm going to eventually order a $70 4x scope. I have a $50 "centerpoint" 4 reticule reflex red/green dot, and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I'm hitting bottles I can't even see at 150 ft.

I'll post some pictures in a minute on my thread.

Keep up the build!!!

I'm not too worried about the wiggle of the fore-arm, It's not flexing at all (Technically corre. Plus it's a back up sight honestly. Everything is snug and secure. The original front sight seems like it would be bothersome with say a scope. So the front sight as a flip down would really benefit me if I'm using optics/something goes wrong(I gotta be prepared for the Monty Python-ish Killer White Zombie Rabbit apocalypse of 2012 ;)). I'm a bit curious though why mine isn't moving but yours seem to be. I wonder if it's possible to have a slight factory issue?

I wouldn't mind doing some accuracy test and comparisons though. Though honestly 2 thin rubber shims can fix that issue for you.

I went to ace and the threads on these screws are too fine for nuts though. Do you think model glue/rubber cement would work as a thread lock? I'm hearing locktite wouldn't bind metal to plastic and it could end up melting the plastic.

I really didn't care for the dual optics scope, I had issues zeroing it but replacing the allen screws made it more adjustable.. (It is an airsoft piece after all.) It was shooting a tad bit low is all. At 75 Feet this is the highest I could adjust the elevation...

I haven't tried it since changing out the screws. It's good for looks only it seems. Dunno maybe I got a lemon. Next range trip I'll see what I can do with it.

By the way for a $70 scope I heard good things about the UTG scope I ordered. The Carry Scope ran me $60 or so with shipping and handling so I feel like it's money wasted D:

Also one thing I did order (which took some fitting) was this.

Evike.com

I'm going to keep the rear sight on though I think.

Edit- Dabbed a little rubber cement on the screws for the top hand guard rail. I'm not worried about taking it off. It's made for plastic so it shouldn't damage the polymer, non toxic, etc. Based on my experience with models the glue is still fragile and can break free if using a certain amount of pressure. It will probably be the equivalent of blue loctite but plastic/polymer friendly.

My rails came today, the rubber cement as thread lock did the trick on the top rail, it isn't going anywhere. I'm doing the same for the side rails.

I'm curious about how it will hold when hot though, I'll have to shoot til she is hot and see if I can turn a screw with no effort next range trip.

Looks good. My side rails came off my $40 g36 airsoft gun, but they are aluminum. I used the screws that were on it and they threaded themselves very nicely, but I don't have anything mounted on them yet. I'm still trying to figure out what piece I need to add a sling swivel to that back post hole.

Use this for the sling swivel. Midwestdustries Heavy Duty Flush Push button Quick Detachable Sling

Finally I have a new case.

Optics and stuff came, just waiting on the Buttstock now. Kinda wish I got the normal AFG, not sure.

Bushnell TRS-25

UTG "QCB" Scope, I'm really impressed with it, though it's longer than I thought.

Added AFG2
Added Push Button Sling Swivel
Added a new front sight post
Got some Optics shown above
Got another Nomad Magazine.

Also my fake can is now a fake "mini" can to make up for the 16 inch barrel.

The screws that came with the side rails bothered me so I went to ace and got 1/2 inch screws. The kit comes with 1/4 inch 10/28's which aren't secure enough. If you go 3/4 inches the screws will surely hit the barrel.

This worked out perfectly imo.

Ruger 1022 came yesterday, after some swearing and tears I got the front sight off, and rebuilt the trigger housing( I accidentally fully disassembled). I got my Nomad fully assembled again!

Sorry the other pictures I had vanished.

Will post better pictures when my butt stock comes. It should be here tomorrow/friday.
