I love the early model Ruger autos. They are bulky, and fit my large hands very well.

Can you advise what type of grips those are? How do you change the grips? Just undo the screw or what?

Plus it is reliable! Over 3000 rds thru mine w/o a problem.

HIPCHIP: The grips are "Hogue," a couple screws and your set.

Thanks for the info. I did a search and it looked like they were Hogue, so it's nice to know that's what they are. Think I'll try a set.

Me too. It's hard to find a gun that fits my hands well, and Ruger autos fit them perfectly after adding hogue grips. I've never found a gun more comfortable yet (well, maybe my father's sig P226 isn't bad either :) )
