Here are my two short-barreled Six series revolvers. The Security Six is a 1979. The Speed Six is a 1981.
I just received and test fired the Speed Six this week and I was really happy that the fixed sights shoot exactly to point of aim. Really good accuracy too for such a short barrel. It put 10 rounds in a 2.5" group at 15 yards off of a sandbag. I love it!

My Speed Six is from 1982, and the recoil shield is dimpled instead of a nice rounded quarter sphere. I guess that's the year they changed it? I wonder why it was changed?

I luckily ended up with 4, two blue and two stainless.
Traded the short barreled .357 Speed Six for a Colt King Cobra, later the guy I traded to needed some money so I bought it back for $250 and kept the Cobra. Total investment $450 for both!

It's funny you say that. My Speed-Six came from a gun shop about 30 miles West of Boston!
