Hey guys, a local collector is selling off some guns - one that I'm interested in is an early FN Hi Power. Finish is worn off for the most part, but the bore is bright and has sharp rifling.

Has proof marks on the barrel and frame, all numbers match.

Only one mag with it, and he's asking $800. He has some P38s for less which I might snatch up, but the Hi Power is one I don't see everyday from WWII

cannot figure out what it's worth..lol

A lot would depend on the serial number range, does it have tangent sights or fixed sights? Also which Nazi proof marks, or which Waffenampt number it has, 613, 103, or 140? Any of these could make a drastic difference in the value of the gun. Tangent sight guns are worth a premium, and a lot of them have been faked for this reason...be careful, and research! S.P. Fjestad's Blue Book of Gun Values is a good source of info on the P35.

One has Tangent sights, one had fixed sights. Checked with a local friend/collector and he said he has a few P35s he hasn't been able to move for below the book value.

Didn't buy anything, except a newer Hi Power w/ adjustable sights for $450 :D
