Well, boys and girls, got my kit today from Del-Ton and I have put it together. Now I get to go fire it! Will sight it in with the iron sights, then will put a red dot on her. BRD!

I am gonna have to get a riser to put the red dot up a bit. Otherwise, the front sight is right in the way.

I really like co-witnessing the sights. i had a bushmaster light weight a3 and on the flat top put a bushnell holo on it. I could look thru my rear sight and directly thru the holo to the front sight putting the dot right on top of my front post. Its a great set-up knowing my sights and dot were zeroed the same.

what dot are you going with?

Congrats,
Now it's time to gather more parts and build it from the ground up, installing the barrel into the upper, torque to spec, add gas tube and pin it in place, install muzzle break and clock it if necessary, check headspace etc......it never ends and you start dreaming of parts and more parts and another build and ammo and more ammo and reloading to feed them and, and, and,................

I think I need a meeting, I mean a range session or two.....
