Hi all,
Little bit about my gun history:
My father had guns when I was young. I learned to alot about gun safety but his actions like drinking/drugs don't mix with guns...I can remember at least five times a gun went off within our house.
I was fearful of guns because of my early experiences. I have always believed the Right to bare arms was important part of American history and our freedoms but, I was sure I wouldn't ever own one. That changed about two years ago when I decided to take a basic pistol course.
I'm glad I took the course, I found something I really enjoy doing. Six months after my class, the girlfriend and I bought a pair of Hi-Point 9mm for range fun and home defense. About a year after we bought our pistols, we took our CCP class. We haven't applied for our CCPs yet.
I decided we needed to add a long gun to our collection and I have decided on the Ruger 10/22. I'm hoping to pick it up this weekend. The 10/22 will mostly be a plinking/small game rifle.
Scott
