Hi everyone!! I'll be a Ruger owner once I get my Alaskan in .44mag!! I came here to get some opinions and to read up on Rugers a bit more. Down here in SC they seem to like Taurus a LOT, and while some of their revolvers look nice, I just worry about the quality.
I also reload 9mm, .40 S&W, .38/.357, .44mag and shortly .22TCM. Currently I'm using my Rock Island Armory 1911a2 in 9mm for IDPA, but seriously considering getting either a gp100 (no more than 4.2") or use the alaskan for it, since I'd be only the second person to use revolver (lots of reloading). Plus, I LOVE .357mag and .44mag...I don't like to shoot it if the word "mag" isn't behind the name of the cartridge!!
