I just picked up a GP100 4.2” stainless model and put 150 rounds through it today. This is an awesome gun and I hate I waited so long to pick one up.
I have plans to daily carry this gun after I shoot it more , and I have no reservations in carrying the gun itself .
However I am wondering how often (if ever) people find their rear adjustable sight has moved or lost zero.
I’ve heard the Bowen sights are probably the best and have a locking feature built in, but if the factory ones keep their zero during daily use I’d rather spend that money on more ammo.

I have never had any problems with ruger rear sights, but the sight picture of the bowen sights is awesome. The rough country sight is the one that locks in place. These are great if you will be shooting the same load all the time. My favorite is a rough country sight with a target blade. Here is a target blade rough country sight on one of my gp100’s

The sights on my 6" GP100 haven't moved, and I have over 1000 rounds of pure Magnum ammo through it, OP.

The only issue I had was with that little pivot pin for the rear sight, which started sliding out during my first trip out. I just put a tiny dab of blue Lok-Tite on the end of it, and it hasn't moved since.

Thank you for all the welcomes and responses!
Never daily carrying a gun with adjustable sights gave me some reservations.
But based on everyone’s experience it gives me enough confidence to save the money on sights and invest in more ammo.
Thank you to everyone that took time to respond!

Many think a 4 inch GP100 is one of the best “all around” handguns one can own.
It can do everything fairly well.
Plink, hunt, range, carry, home defense, etc.
It’s probably not the best in any of the above, but it sure is pretty darn good in all of them.
Then you consider the range of ammo options one has out of a .357?
Very hard to beat.

I put a little bend in mine to keep it in place.

This was the exact reason i made the purchase. I knew it wouldn't necessarily be the best at any one thing, but the appeal of having 1 gun that i feel can do it all with simply changing ammo is very appealing.
I don't live in brown bear country so this is going to be a woods ,target ,and carry gun for me. I'll change ammo for each task and believe it will perform great.

We have lots of 4 legged critters around here, some quite large, and not too friendly.
Sometimes I carry my GP with either 180gr or 200gr when I have to go into the back forty for work.
Currently a rather large black bear back living there with two juveniles.
We also have big cats, coyotes, ornery elks, bobcats, aggressive raccoons, etc.
About 6 months ago two co-workers saw the biggest, leanest, fastest black bear they had ever seen, chasing a doe, not 50 yards from the shop.
