I've always been a fan of ruger. Have a 10/22 and a Blackhawk .357 my grandfather gave me. Just picked up a new sr22 last week. I've got quite a few rifles, but just the two ruger handguns. I love the blackhawk, but costs too much to shoot a lot. The sr22 is a blast to shoot and affordable. One thing I have noticed though is I can move the slide on my sr22 about 1mm or so and it rattles if I shake it. I was wondering if this is normal on these guns. My first semi auto handgun so I'm not really too experienced with them. Shoots great and seems to be pretty accurate so far. Wife said I'm paranoid, but I just want to make sure I gota good gun...

Welcome from North Carolina,
I own an SR22 and it is a lot of fun to shoot. I recently returned it to Ruger for service due to a problem with slide alignment. I will add a link to that thread below. As far as a rattle or slide being loose I don't recall this happening with my gun it has always felt very solid. You will probably get more input if you repost your question in the Pistol and Revolver- Ruger Rimfire Forum.
And don't hesitate to call customer service they will be happy to help you out.
