Hey everyone, just started a 10/22 build and wanted to get input. I originally planned on purchasing a factory Tactical Target model until I saw where they do not come with a threaded barrel. So I set out to build one like I wanted for the best price possible. Here is what I have so far:

- Ruger 10/22 carbine, wood stock and blued barrel
- Ruger BX trigger
- E.R. Shaw 16.5" threaded 0.920" bull barrel, blued
- Hogue rubber overmold stock, black
- Kidd bolt handle, rod and spring
- Kidd auto bolt release
- Kidd extractor
- Kidd buffer

I figure this will get me close to where I want to be and by the time I sell off the factory parts I should come in around $400. I am looking for a backyard plinking rifle that I can suppress and have fun with. Anything else I should consider a must have? Will post pictures when everything arrives and gets installed.

I went with the Hogue first but did not like it after shooting. I went with the ProMag Preicision and am very pleased with it. The two adjustment factors are great.

Welcome to the forum, from the great white north!
That's quite the list of quality parts, what kind of optics are you looking at? For a plinker, sounds like you have all bases covered! Good luck with the build. :)
