I just purchased my first handgun - a Ruger SR22PB - put about 50 rounds through it so far. Had previously used my dad's SR22 as well as his other handguns.

Struggled to get the stock grip off to swap for the larger one - had to pry it a bit with a spudger (a tool used in the disassembly of electronics and such to prevent damaging the surface, usually made from a nylon or plastic).

Have an issue with one of the mags being very hard to load - Ruger is sending a replacement mag.

Now the wife wants to buy a pink gun.

Welcome from mid-coast Maine. The SR22 is a ton of fun, enjoy it. I didn't experience the problem in changing out the grip on mine, but lots of others have said they have, so I guess it is not that uncommon.

Welcome aboard from North Carolina. The sr22 is a great gun, the grips are easier to remove if you squeeze the grip from the front below the guard and the rear at the top of the grip. Then pull down without squeezing the sides of the grip. The tabs that hold the grips on the frame are on the sides so when you grab the whole grip you are tightening them.
