I'm a new member on this site.
I have just purchased a Redhawk 45 4" barrel. I have been carrying a 44 S&W Mountain Gun since 2001. I spend a pretty fair amount of time in AK fishing rainbows etc. and see many bears every day.
Finally found a nice 45 big cousin to replace the S&W.
I'll be looking for advice on smoothing up etc. Just ordered new Wolff spring kit and shims from Michigan Central Outdoors.
Mine will be mostly bear strength close range, but I like as accurate I can get within reason.
Bring on advice. Thanks

Congratulations on the Redhawk! Curious about the Wolff springs - have you measured your trigger pull in DA and SA with the factory spring? I've heard a pretty wide range for out of the box trigger - 9lbs to over 12lbs in DA.

Post a photo if you can and keep us informed in the Double Action forum on how you make out with the spring.

And welcome too, by the way!
