I just heard a fellow describe his "house gun" as a Ruger .357 NICKEL PLATED revolver. No other description.

I for sure do not have a "Nickel plated" anything from Ruger ? Is; was; Ruger ever Nickel plating revolvers ???
I feel like it must be an aftermarket finish, or polished S S.... Comments ?

Huh...I never heard of one either......unless he has a polished stainless and he thinks it's nickel.
I have heard many people call it nickel. Mostly folks that are not real gun savvy. But, we know it is stainless.

A friend once bought a nickled Colt 1911. After he showed it to me, he actually had a bright stainless Colt. As others have said, it happens all the time.

I took a GP100 I polished to the LGS. The guy behind the counter thought I'd had it nickel plated. Stainless shines up real nice.
