howdy,

Just got my .40 PC Carbine... haven't got to the range, but can hardly wait!

Already installed a Holsun HS507C on the rail.. wondering if anyone else has installed on the rail, or is where the rear sight sits is a better location? (I've see several videos where owners replaced the rear sights with red dots)

Anyway, happy to get the Carbine, been looking for months :)

I bought an adapter (Taccom and TandemKross both sell them) that replaces the rear sight and mounted my Vortex Venom on it. The major advantage is it it assures the red dot stays aligned with the barrel even after take down and reassembly. If the takedown nut is adjusted properly there is no play between the barrel assembly and stock assembly so misalignment is very small to nonexistent but having the sight on the barrel makes this moot.

Having the sight on the barrel makes it just as easy to find the red dot as mounting it on the receiver so there is no negative I can see.
