I was looking at getting a 45 to add to the collection. The RAP had just come out. Honestly I didn't like the look. Played with a SR 45 and I was sold.
I did a complete cleaning and lube before heading to the range.
The SR 45 trigger is "catchy" if you slow press it but fine if you stop trying to use it as a target gun and just touch and press.
Slow fire resulted in a raged hole in the target at 10 yards with just a few oops. Shot per second drill and shot per 1/2 second drill at 7 yards (9" paper plate) resulted in no misses. 5 yard 5 shot on paper plate as fast as I could press the trigger and without using the sights (point and shoot) resulted in no misses!
Either this gun just fits me to a tee or I was having one awesome shooting day!
Total of 80 rounds Federal 230 grain fired and no malfunctions of any kind.
I'm happy with my decision to go with the SR 45.
