It took about a month of looking, but I finally got a sr1911. One of my local gun stores had a few in stock that they waited untill black friday to sell. I've shot about 75 rounds through it and love it so far. Even my wife enjoys shooting it.

Hello, I am also from oregon, did you get yours at the Wholesale sports black Friday deal?
Thats where I got my SR1911 on Friday. How is your slide to frame fit? Mine is really loose, I think I am going to have to send it back to Ruger.

Yeah thats where I got it. My slides seem to have a good fit to me; however I cleaned it before I shot it and got a lot of metal shavings out of the slide area that were left over from the manufacturing process. I'm sure if I would have shot it much with all of that left in there it would have put a lot of wear on the slides.
