I brought home a new SR9B yesterday. I spent some time this morning cleaning and going over everything. All seems to check out well except the front and rear sights are not in the center of their dovetail. Its not alot but I want then in the center. I tried to tap them a little but they did not move. I don't want to damage anything. Does anyone have any advice on how to best center them.

Did you loosen the set screw in the rear sight??

If you can get some one to help you hold the gun down, you can move it with a good tap using a hardwood dowel. You might want to bench shoot it first.
