Corndog, L.C. Smiths are very collectable. The rabbit ear model was made in 5 different "qualitys". Assuming the lowest quality and 70% condition, it books for over 1K buck. In the highest quality and 70% condition, it books for $6k.

i used to have a newer model (hammerless) that was in about 80% condition. It was the first side by side made with armor steel 30", full choke barrels. I sold it for $1500 about a decade ago.

My wife has never done an auction but as much as she likes to spend money, I think she would be a natural. So, what did Mrs Corndog end up paying for the L.C. Smith?
