Well... they can sorta fly. They can crawl up on the ceiling and then lower themselves down on you on a string of spider web.

I have stood on tip of grain tanks 150 high and seen spiders floating by on thin webs. I've felt their webs cling to my cheek as they swept by.

And just lately, a neighborhood in Memphis had a grass spider invasion resulting in a web in the grass close to two hundred yards in length.
