Or …. you could just use a good cleaning rod that does a better job than any "bore snake" type system.
Yeah, I've come to that conclusion also. I finally drilled the recommended cleaning rod hole in the receiver of my 10/22 so I don't have to use the Bore Snake or Otis cable system.

I have the bore snakes and the Otis cable system. I like the snakes better but the ripcord looks good and I may try that after I wear out the snake.

I didn't care the cable and that really hurt because I spent a small fortune on it
