I go into the desert. Nearby to where I live and very peaceful.
Nice set-up you have there...especially since it's family land. I'll bet those pines smell nice. Thanks for posting the pics.That scenery is amazing. I just shoot in my S. Georgia pinewoods. I'm thankful to have the opportunity for shooting rifles, shotguns, and handguns on family land however.
Its mostly flat & open. I've ranged the farthest shootable straight away at about 1270 yards. Sometimes we set up a steel target at 1000yds, firing at little ground hogs out that far & everywhere in between is fun as hell!! On a good day 25 hogs down is average. 680 yards is my farthest kill so far with my RPR 308. But even a lousy day in the field is still better than a good day at work! LolLucky you. You can do some long range shooting there.
