I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for the P89, such as nice basic gunsmith work that makes the gun much better, of if it's pretty darn good stock?

Still looking at doing some IDPA or IPSC shooting, so wondering about mods before I get used to shooting the bone stock gun.

I'm in the Sacramento area, any gunsmiths in this area to recommend working on the gun?
Thanks all.

After speaking with a gunsmith in my area, there's not alot that can be done other than smoothing up the trigger pull. I'd recommend a good grip (I like the Hogue's I have on both of my P-series guns),and just shoot it until you get a good feel for the pull and break of the trigger. I've noticed the more I shoot mine, the quicker and more accurate I'm getting with follow-up shots.

The grips seem to be a standard, so guess I'll try that. Glad I don't have to do a bunch to it.
Thanks for the info.
