She sat in a nylon holster so long that the "pleather?" protective liner inside the top of the holster disintegrated and stuck to the top of the gun around the rear sight area. Peeled right off the gun with a fingernail though, no damage.
Test fired with a box or two of ammo, cleaned and loaded with HPs and holstered, then put away in a drawer for decades, standing by "just in case" it was ever needed. Thankfully for the orig owner, it never was.
