That kind of tactic was used in Albuquerque about 10 years ago. Bad guys ran a big pickup backwards through the front windows and gates to get off with a lot of guns.

The shop reopened after the owner replaced the front wall with no glass, block and brick reinforced version.

LEO found the stolen truck a few miles with the rear end all but gone, but it still ran.

What we really need is expanded background checks. That'll keep guns out of the hands of thugs like these...

You are so right, some of those new FBI hires by the POTUS for background checks should have had a Hope and Change tent with tables and chairs for the perps to fill in the forms all night set up outside the store.

Saw vid today.10 to 1 all they will have to do is watch suvalince video of them walking around the store earlier in the day when they were scoping it out.Not likely they even changed there clothes. They will likely be able to pick them out by the hoodies. What I thought was funny is they didn't even know how to use a chain.Who the hell ties a chain when it has a hook on the end. They could have shaved 30 40 seconds off there time and each of them could have had more time to grab a couple of more guns. With 10 of them that's a lot more guns.

I live in a small town in Montana and we had someone run a car through the front of a gun store in the neighboring smaller town about two years ago. The car was the courtesy car from the local airport that had been stolen. The thieves had tried to break into another couple of gun stores first and the airport had recently had robberies as well. But the town only had one cop on duty overnight so it wasn't hard for the thieves to stay ahead of him.

The feds later caught the thieves in WA state trying to sell the stolen guns. They were Mexican drug cartel guys who'd gotten a local user to drive the car in the robbery. We're on a reservation and I guess that the drug cartels use reservations as transit points because of the traditional lack of trust by tribal members towards most law enforcement and because of the lack of coordination that exists on a reservation between tribal, city, county, state, and federal law enforcement.

Unfortunately a similar robbery took place here in Northern California last night.

I was having a computer issue and did not see alayonruger's posting.
As to the type of building, it is a store front in a rather long tilt up perpendicular to the road and this shop is aways from the road. The area is commercial so little nighttime traffic, in other words relative easy pickens.
