I'll be getting a SP101 .357 2" bbl. CCW before the end of March. I really like the heft and size of this piece; and have shot my brother's 101 on several occaisions. The thing is, I've found the action to be somewhat stiff and hard. Maybe it's just me, but should I think about taking it to a gunny and have the action polished?

Before you go to the gunsmith, talk to a member of this forum named Iowegan and ask him to E-mail you a copy of Iowegan's Book of Knowledge on the GP100. It applies pretty much straight across the board to your SP101, and I predict that you'll not only like the results but also learn a lot about the inner workings of your new revolver. You may decide to farm out some of the more complicated bits, but you'll at least know exactly which ones and why you're willing to pay to have them done.
