I have a chance to get a case of Privi 5.56 for what (at this time at least) seems like a decent price ($400 / 1000 rounds.) I don't know anything about this ammo.

I know that some guns "like" some ammo better than others, but as a general rule, is the Privi 5.56 pretty decent ammo? I will be shooting this in a 183 series Mini-14.

Thanks,

Bob

I can't speak for Privi Partizan's 5.56mm ammunition, but I bought several boxes of their 7.62x38mmR cartridges for my Nagant revolver, & they've been as well-made & reliable as any other brands I've bought.

I tried a box of their .223 55 gr SP ammo. Several of the rounds pierced the primers in my Remington 700 SPS Varmint. The brass reloaded fine, though. I much prefer the Fiochhi Extrema ammo with the V-Max bullets, if you can find it. More accurate and shoots cleaner, in my experience. (of course, these days, you sort of take what you can get if it is anywhere near reasonable in price)
