Here is my P89 that I re-finished. I don't have any before pictures but it was pretty beat up. I also replaced all of the springs. The gun was very dirty. To the point that it was miss-firing. When I took the slide apart, there was a lot of gunk in there. I had bought it used so I'm not sure of the round count.

I used some spray on non-bake finish from Brownells. The frame came out pretty good but the slide is already starting to peel in a few places. I'm thinking of having the slide hard chromed, or maybe I'll try parkerizing (sp) it. Lot of work but a lot fun to. Really know the ins and outs of the Ruger P89. I can detail strip in now in about 5 minutes.

never tried the baked-on finish. have heard of folks using bar-b-q grill paint before. Seems to be a good alternative for alloy frame weapons in need of help.
